I have researched and written about the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) for many years. My favorite stories are about the experiences of the men in the camps of Southern Arizona. I also have a great interest in the camp newspapers, as this is where you will find the true story of the CCC as told by the men themselves. I write books and articles and give presentations to continue the legacy of the CCC.
My work is dedicated to all the CCC "boys," particularly Eduardo "Buck" Castillo, Merle Timblin, and my favorite boy of them all, Elson Alvarez. You did good, guys!
[Note: This listing is currently being updated, so if you don't see something about the CCC that you're interested in, please contact me.]
